Arhtiya software that settles every lot on your phone
Mandi Ledger is a phone app for commission agents (arhtiyas) in grain mandis. You type, speak or photograph each auction lot, and it works out commission, hamali, tulai and market fee, posts the lot to the farmer's and the buyer's khata, prints the farmer's patti and tracks every buyer's dues. It is free for your first 3 months, with no card needed; after that it is ₹299 a month or ₹2,999 a year.

Every auction slip, farmer advance and buyer credit sits in a thick ledger, and it takes hours to tally. Mandi Ledger shows today's arrivals, sales and your commission at a glance. Speak the lot: farmer, crop, bags, weight, rate and buyer. Commission, labour, weighing and market fee are worked out, so you see what the farmer gets and what the buyer owes. Save, and it is posted to both the farmer's and the buyer's ledger. Ask your ledger anything, for example the bags per buyer, counted exactly from your own ledger. See who owes what and for how long, with a one-tap WhatsApp reminder. The daily rate board shows the min, modal and max price, shared with farmers in one tap. It works in 10 Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and Gujarati. Find any farmer, buyer or lot instantly, even in Hinglish. Mandi Ledger is free for the first 3 months. Who it's for
A grain-mandi arhtiya with a one-shop firm
Wants to settle every boli lot and give the farmer a clear patti.
“In the season I write lot after lot in the bahi, and totalling them takes half the night.”
An arhtiya who gives advances to farmers
Wants to know each farmer's outstanding advance and interest at any time.
“Farmers ask how much advance is left, and I have to search three registers.”
An arhtiya who sells to buyers on credit
Wants to see who is overdue and remind them on WhatsApp.
“Buyers pay late, and I lose track of who owes for which day's lots.”
How it works
1. Speak or type the lot
Say the farmer, crop, bags, weight, rate and buyer in your language, type it, or photograph the parchi (auction slip). You check the lot before saving.

2. Let it settle
Your rules for commission, hamali (labour), tulai (weighing) and market fee are applied. You see what the farmer gets and what the buyer owes, then save it to both khatas.

3. Ask your bahi and share
Ask a question in your own language and get the answer from your own books. Print the patti and send reminders and the rate board on WhatsApp.

Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes, for your first 3 months (90 days from sign-up). Everything is unlocked, including the AI, and nothing is charged.
What happens after 3 months?
Lots, khata, pattis, dues, the rate board, bank match and the AI keep working. When the free period ends you choose monthly (₹299) or yearly (₹2,999). Payment is not live yet, and we tell you before your free period ends.
Do I need a card?
No. You sign up with your mobile number and a one-time code (OTP). No card, no email, no password.
Is my data safe?
Every record belongs to your shop, and every read and write is checked against your shop. A test of 21 checks proves one shop cannot read or change another's books. The AI runs on our own server, and parchi photos are read on your phone.
Who is behind Mandi Ledger?
Surge Software Solutions Private Limited, India. The founder is Venu Gopal Reddy Muvva.
Can I talk to a person?
Yes. Ask the assistant in the app; if it can't answer, leave your email and the founder replies within about 10 hours. Or write to [email protected].
Can I set my own commission and charges?
Yes. Each rule can be a % of the sale, ₹ per bag, ₹ per quintal or a flat amount, taken from the farmer or charged to the buyer. A new firm starts with 2.5% commission, hamali, tulai, market fee and HRDF cess.
Can it read a handwritten parchi?
It reads a photo of the parchi on your phone and fills in the lot. Neat writing reads well. Always check the numbers and names before saving.
Can my munim use it with his own login?
Not yet. Staff logins with their own permissions are not built; every user is the owner today.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. Tap Try the demo shop on the login page. It has about 40 days of sample lots, and you can reset it any time.
